Alleging arbitrary action against Muslim leaders, Mufti Iftikhar Ahmad Qasmi, president of the Karnataka unit of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, on April 16 said the Congress is risking alienating the entire AHINDA community in Karnataka for the sake of ‘one family’. Addressing a joint press conference organised by Ulama Karnataka, he said the party had acted in violation of norms in taking action against certain leaders in connection with the Davanagere South byelection.
