NEW DELHI Amid opposition from faculty members, Delhi University (DU)’s Academic Council (AC) passed a proposal allowing students to earn 5% of their total credits through SWAYAM or other massive open online course (MOOC) platforms. DU Registrar Vikas Gupta said that while elected members dissented during the discussion on the proposal, it was passed by a majority. Faculty members, meanwhile, alleged that the meeting was “abruptly adjourned” while they were registering their opposition.
