Palaniswami would be punished on May 4 for his betrayal of Tamil Nadu. Speaking at a meeting at Fort Maiden in the evening, he introduced 11 alliance candidates of the Salem district and sought votes for them. Stating that Mr. Palaniswami alleged that the DMK was speaking against women’s reservation, Chief Minister Stalin said: “Even Mr. Palaniswami knew about 33% reservation. Former Chief Minister [the late] M.
