A woman is believed to have been killed and eaten by an unidentified animal at the Pykara Forest Range in Anumapuram of The Nilgiris forest division. The incident is likely to have occurred on April 11, but her remains were discovered on Wednesday (April 15). The Forest Department identified the deceased as R. Parvathi, a resident who went missing after leaving her house on April 11. On Wednesday, the residents reportedly found signs of an animal attack in a tea estate.
