The Communist Party of India was the first party to raise the women’s reservation in Parliament and it was the BJP, heading an alliance, that had stopped it then, said CPI State secretary M. Veerapandian. Addressing the press here on Tuesday, Mr. Veerapandian said CPI leader Geetha Mukherjee raised this issue first.
