Member of Parliament M. Sribharat inaugurated rooftop solar installations at the residences of two beneficiaries of ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’, in Visakhapatnam city on Tuesday. He was accompanied by MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and other leaders. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sribharat urged the SC and ST families to take full advantage of the initiative introduced by the NDA government at the Centre. He stated that under this scheme, free solar panels up to 2 kilowatts are being provided, enabling households to generate approximately 200 to 300 units of electricity per month. This not only significantly reduces electricity expenses but also contributes to environmental conservation, he said. The MP urged people to adopt solar energy, to help bridge the gap between electricity demand and supply.
