Telangana is confident of consolidating on its fairly new status as a leading engineering goods exporter in FY2026 too on the back of continued attraction of the State as a preferred destination of aerospace and defence manufacturing firms, according to highly placed sources. Well known as a pharma manufacturing hub, particularly leading global supplier of vaccines and generic drugs, the State emerged as a strong player in engineering sector in recent years. Engineering goods exports from Telangana rose from $1,827 million in 2022-23 to $7,536 million in 2024-25. In 2023-24, the exports totalled $3,457.99 million.
