Nearly 1,000 booked for drunk driving across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri

Traffic police across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri booked close to 1,000 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol during the weekend special drives conducted on Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11.

In Hyderabad, 466 cases were booked including 404 two-wheelers, 23 three-wheelers and 39 four-wheelers. Officials said a significant number of offenders recorded moderate to high blood alcohol concentration levels, with 163 cases falling in the 51–100 mg/100 ml range and 108 cases between 101–150 mg/100 ml. Alarmingly, 12 individuals recorded levels above 300 mg/100 ml.
