The disappearance of a man after he was allegedly attacked by cow vigilantes in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday (April 12, 2026) has triggered protests. Locals blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Ramsoo in Ramban district on Monday (April 13) demanding that the authorities locate the man. Protesters assembled at Makerkoot in Ramsoo on Monday (April 13) morning and blocked the Srinagar–Jammu highway for over four hours. They alleged that internet speed was also reduced following the protests.
