TDP Councillor from Visakhapatnam, Adusumalli Deepthi, urged the District Collector to resume admission process at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in the Steel Plant Township, claiming that the school, with the capacity of 2,000 students, is functioning with only 700 students. Stating that there has been a sharp decline in enrolments due to the lack of admissions in the past two years, Ms. Deepthi sought permission to convert the institution from a project school to a civil school under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
