The State of Assam has moved the Supreme Court of India against a Telangana High Court decision to grant a transit anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera for a week in a criminal case registered by Assam police over his ‘allegations’ that the Assam Chief Minister’s wife had three different passports.

The High Court had given Mr. Khera an interim relief in a case registered against him in Assam. It had allowed the Congress leader to apply to the jurisdictional court for regular bail after the one-week period.
