The Moon moment

The successful splash down of the Artemis II mission capsule, Orion, in the Pacific Ocean marked a defining milestone in NASA’s collaborative deep space endeavours. The 10-day challenging space voyage has scripted a historic return of humans to the lunar flyby after more than five decades since they last ventured there. The enduring legacy of the Artemis II mission lies not only in the vital scientific data it gathered, but also in awakening the dreams of young students. The insights from the Artemis II mission also holds pivotal relevance for the ISRO in the context of India’s upcoming human spaceflight mission, Gaganyaan.
