The Lawspet Police have registered two cases in connection with the distribution of cash for votes during the recently concluded Puducherry Assembly elections. As per case details, the FIR has been registered against P. Rajasegar, a resident of Lawspet, for distributing cash seeking votes for All India N.R. Congress candidate V.P. Sivakolandhu in the Lawspet Assembly constituency. A sum of ₹ 18, 500 was recovered from him.
