File | Photo Credit: PTI Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday (April 12, 2026) in a hospital in Mumbai. She was 92. Ms. Bhosle passed away due to multi-organ failure, Breach Candy Hospital confirmed to The Hindu. Ms. Bhosle was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai’s Breach Candy on Saturday (April 11) evening following a chest infection and exhaustion. She also suffered a cardiac arrest and pulmonary complications, the hospital said. The U.S. and Iran failed to reach a peace deal at their historic 21-hour talks in Pakistan, leaving the fate of a tenuous two-week ceasefire in doubt, with both sides attempting to hold each other responsible for the collapse of the negotiations. Vice-President J.D. Vance, who led the U.S. delegation at the negotiations in Islamabad, said the Iranian side did not accept Washington’s terms for ending the war even as the U.S. presented its “final and best offer”.
