A special investigation squad constituted by the Kozhikode city police on Sunday (April 12) brought Vineesh Vinod, the accused in the Drishya murder case, who escaped from the Kuthiravattam Government Mental Health Centre in December last year, to Kozhikode. Vineesh, who was arrested from his hideout in Mumbai on April 11, was brought to the Kozhikode Medical College police station for further interrogation. Police sources said that the help of the Maharashtra police had been sought to trace the accused. They said his location was tracked after he tried to contact a friend recently.
