The Andhra Pradesh Tenant Farmers Association expressed concern over the proposed “online lock” system for land records, claiming that it could adversely affect tenant farmers’ access to identification and government benefits. In a statement on Sunday (April 12, 2026), Association State president A. Katamayya and general secretary P. Jamalayya urged the State government to ensure that landowners’ rights are protected while tenant farmers are not left vulnerable.
