AIDSO plans nation-wide celebrations of the 200th birth anniversary of Jyotiba Phule, Maharashtra-based social activist who campaigned for critical thought, environment protection and who, along with his wife Savitribai, started a school for girls in 1848. AIDSO district secretary Shashikala Meti announced this at the birth anniversary celebrations organised in Dharwad on Sunday.
