A recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, her legacy would remain an integral part of India’s musical heritage and continue to resonate through the ages, he added, conveying his heartfelt condolences to her family. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said Asha Bhosle was an iconic voice in Indian cinema who rendered countless memorable songs in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali and other languages. Timeless songs such as “Dum Maro Dum,” “Chura Liya Hai Tumne,” “In Aankhon Ki Masti,” and “Radha Kaise Na Jale” stand testimony to her enduring legacy, he said, noting that though her contribution to Telugu cinema was limited, she was widely cherished in the Telugu States for her work in Hindi music.
