MOORTHY The undue delay in completing the reconstruction of two key overbridges in Tiruchi has been causing inconvenience to motorists, with commuters reporting longer travel times and frequent traffic congestion across adjoining areas. The reconstruction of the overbridge near Fort Railway Station, which began in 2024, was initially expected to be completed last year. Officials had earlier indicated that the railway portion of the flyover would be completed by February, after which the Tiruchi Corporation would take up the construction of approach roads. The entire project was said to be completed by May 2026.
