In a bid to curb the coercive action by moneylenders, the Tamil Nadu government has launched a portal enabling victims to lodge complaints online. The portal, established under the recently introduced Tamil Nadu Money Lending Entities (Prevention of Coercive Actions) Act, 2025, seeks to regulate money lending activities in the State, especially by preventing coercive, unfair, and illegal recovery practices.
