It was only this year that K-SOTTO empanelled the logistics provider to supply vehicles as required, setting a promising precedent for future initiatives. The recent organ donation followed the death of a 35-year-old IT professional Jai Jayakumar, whose organs helped save multiple lives. Six organs — including the heart, liver, two kidneys and both corneas — were harvested from Ms. Jayakumar who was declared brain-dead while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
