Ministry of Tribal Affairs Director Varnali Deka assured the tribes of Polavaram district that at least 3,000 acres would be brought under rubber plantation to improve their livelihood.

Ms. Varnali Deka and Polavaram district Joint Collector and Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA-Rampachodavaram) Project Officer B. Smaran Raj on Friday (April 10, 2026) inspected the rubber plantation cultivated by the Konda Reddi tribal families in Devarapalli near Rampachodavaram in Polavaram district. The officials assessed the improvement in the livelihood of the tribals involved in rubber cultivation.
