Tamil Nadu elections: When an Achuthamenon campaigns for the CPI(M) candidate in Kilvelur

There may be innumerable Achutha Menons in Kerala, a State once governed by Chief Minister C. Achutha Menon, but here, in Tamil Nadu’s Nagapattinam, an Achuthamenon is actively campaigning for a candidate in the Kilvelur Assembly constituency.

As the election campaign in Tamil Nadu gathers momentum, G. Achuthamenon, a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and person with physical disabilities, is travelling to every nook and corner of the constituency in a campaign vehicle equipped with a public address system, canvassing votes for the party’s candidate, D. Latha.
