At least seven persons were injured in a clash between two groups over the distribution of pamphlets related to a property ownership dispute between a section of residents of Vennaimalai and the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) Department. According to sources, a group of persons belonging to the Sri Balasubramaniaswamy Temple Inam Land Retrieval Movement reportedly distributed pamphlets to the affected persons, asking them to attend a meeting on Sunday (April 12, 2026).
