Raja inaugurating the Global Summit of Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals in Madurai on Thursday. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement The four-day 16th Global Summit of Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals organised by The Rise Organisation began in Madurai on Thursday. The Global Summit titled ‘Sangam 5’ was inaugurated by Nilgiris MP A. Raja. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about Tamil culture and legacy, and urged the Tamils to follow in the footsteps of great Tamil personalities such as Tholkappiyar, Thirumoolar, Thiruvalluvar and Vallalar. Founder of The Rise Global Rev. Jegath Gaspar Raj introduced the delegates of the summit. The summit would bring together nearly 2,000 delegates from more than 50 countries. On the inaugural day, the project titled ‘Anaitthulaga Tamizhoor’ was launched to globally promote Tamil culture, language, medicine, tourism, and traditional lifestyle. A medical conference, titled ‘Medical Advancement 2026’, will also be conducted as part of the Global Summit. Tamil doctors from various countries will participate in the event and speak about the advancements that have taken place in the medical field. A Global Jallikattu event was held at Kalaignar Centenary Jallikattu Arena in Alanganallur, in coordination with Tamil Nadu Jallikattu Peravai, on the inaugural day. The grand finale of the summit will take place at Keeladi on January 11 as Global Tamil Unity Pongal. Delegates from various countries will be participating in the event.
