A 45-year-old man, V. Jesudass, a resident of Yagappanpatti, and his second wife Deepika were murdered by unidentified persons at different locations in Dindigul district at around 8 p.m. on Thursday. Police said Jesudass, a prime accused in the murder case of Mayandi Joseph, was out on bail. Jesudass was hacked to death by unidentified persons near RMTC Nagar on Natham — Dindigul Road. The assailants fled the scene in a car. Deepika was also murdered by unidentified assailants at around the same time in front of her house in Nallampatti. The assailants fled the scene soon after murdering her. The police have sent both the bodies for postmortem, and launched an intensive search to nab the assailants. Investigation is under way.
