An armed robbery bid at a jewellery shop in Tiruvallur district on Thursday was foiled after the employees overpowered a five-member gang. Wearing a burqa and posing as a customer, one of the five men entered Kanya Jewellery in Madarapakkam near Gummidipoondi.
