Election officials on Friday seized 100 dummy Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and 20,600 visiting cards containing photos of DMK Orathanadu candidate R. Vaithilingam during a vehicle inspection near the Arumbakkam Metro in the Anna Nagar Assembly constituency in Chennai. Mr. Vaithilingam, a former AIADMK Minister, had joined the DMK a few months ago. The materials were recovered from a load autorickshaw, which a Static Surveillance Team intercepted. The team was led by Sri Sathyan, Assistant Engineer of Zone-4, Greater Chennai Corporation.
