Fire service personnel creating voter awareness under the sea at Kooduthalai Village in Tirunelveli district. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Holding banners stressing the need for cent per cent voting on April 23, the Fire and Rescue Services personnel dived deep into the sea off Kooduthalai coast in the district on Friday. As part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) events being organised in all five Assembly constituencies of the district, the divers of Fire and Rescue Services Department plunged into the Kooduthalai sea in Radhapuram Assembly constituency up to 80 feet with the banners appealing to the voters particularly the first-time voters to cast their votes without fail on April 23.
