Licenced surveyors stage a demonstration near Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple near the Mysuru palace on Thursday. | Photo Credit: M.A. Sriram A large number of licenced surveyors from the Department of Land Survey went on strike and staged a demonstration in Mysuru on Thursday, pressing for their long-pending demands, including the regularisation of their services as Government Land Surveyors. The licenced surveyors from different districts gathered in front of the Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple near Mysuru palace demanding that the government fulfil its promise to regularise their services, provide them job security, and “equal pay for equal work”.
