The existing model of automation education is far too narrow in the domains it covers and often lacks practical real-world exposure, limiting its ability to contribute in a meaningful manner to the industry. | Photo: iStock/ Getty Images India’s goal of becoming the third largest global economy depends on how well we grow our manufacturing capacity. The efficiency and productivity of the nation’s factories will be key factor in achieving this vision. However, the critical enabler of this shift will be the automation technology, which integrates systems to run machines effortlessly, manages water distribution of right purity on time, every time, regulates power flow in the electrical grid and controls streetlights in the cities.
