The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a Superintendent and an Inspector of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in a bribery case. The CBI registered the case on Tuesday against the accused Superintendent of GST, Ranipet Range, based on a complaint. It was alleged that the accused Superintendent of GST demanded an undue advantage of ₹30,000 from the complainant for facilitating the clearance of GST registration.
