National Investigation Agency (NIA) Hyderabad branch office has issued a notice under Section 160 of CrPC/179 BNSS to the CPI (ML) Mass Line State secretary Potu Ranga Rao for examination in connection with a case registered at the NIA police station in Hyderabad in November last year. The notice, dated April 4, 2026, issued to Mr. Rao read: ‘It appears that you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case (FIR No RC-04/2025/NIA/HYD dated 26.11.2025 U/s 152 of BNS, Section 13 & 39 of UA (P) Act, 1967.
