Key political fronts are hoping for an improved performance in all the 14 Assembly constituencies in Ernakulam this time compared to the outcome in the 2021 polls. In a keenly fought contest in 2021, the United Democratic Front (UDF) could maintain its supremacy in its traditional strongholds. The front had won nine seats including Paravur, Aluva, Angamaly, Perumbavoor, Ernakulam, Thrikkakara, Thripunithura, Muvattupuzha and Piravom. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) had won five seats, including Kunnathunad, Kalamassery, Vypeen, Kochi, and Kothamangalam.
