A 45-year-old woman was sentenced to 10-year rigorous imprisonment in a human trafficking case registered in 2017 by the Musheerabad police. The accused, identified as Kalpana Goswami, a resident of Musheerabad, was convicted under the provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 and Section 370 of the Indian Penal Code. The court also imposed a fine of ₹4,000.
