Rangapura in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (KREIS) has suspended a principal and transferred two teachers after several bags of wheat were found buried on the premises of Kitturu Rani Chennamma Residential School at H. Rangapura in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru. KREIS executive director Kantha Raju P.S., on April 6, issued an order suspending Harish B.J., principal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Residential School at Dandinashivara in Turuvekere taluk of Tumakuru district. Harish was working at H. Rangapura between November 2022 and June 2023. During his tenure, he allegedly disposed of wheat bags, violating the norms.
