The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Coimbatore on Wednesday sentenced a man from Namakkal district to two years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for income tax (I-T) violation. Chief Judicial Magistrate K. Sivakumar awarded the punishment, along with a fine of ₹24.8 crore, to B. Faiyaz Ahamed, an insurance and financial advisor from Paramathi Velur in Namakkal district.
