A Village Accountant was on Wednesday sentenced to four years of imprisonment and asked to pay a fine of ₹20,000 by the Principal District and Sessions Court in Kalaburagi in a bribery case. The convicted official Suryakant Jamadar of Kattisangavi village in Jewargi taluk was found guilty of demanding and accepting a bribe from a farmer to carry out official work related to land records.
