OMCs making available 5 kg cylinders to industrial workers

State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) are making efforts to make available five kg cooking gas cylinders to migrant labourers, industrial labourers, small eateries, and ironing vendors. Distributors have been conducting camps at work sites to provide the cylinders on the basis of ID proof. 

“A camp was held at Uthiramerur recently by a distributor. Families were suffering without cylinders in that area. We are giving these cylinders only to genuine customers. The OMCs are closely monitoring these cylinders to ensure that they are not being misused,” said a distributor.
