CM Rekha Gupta said her govt. has allocated ₹800 crore this year to boost infrastructure in unauthorised colonies. | Photo Credit: SHIV KUMAR PUSHPAKAR Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced a major push to regularise unauthorised colonies in Delhi and simplify construction and ownership norms. Mr. Lal said 1,511 of Delhi’s 1,731 unauthorised colonies will now be regularised on an “as-is, where-is” basis. Around 45 lakh residents of these colonies are expected to benefit, said the CM at a joint media briefing with Mr. Lal.
