The full implementation of the Drainage Master Plan (DMP), unveiled by the Delhi government in September 2025, is facing delays as the administration is seeking funding from the World Bank and the Central government, an official said on Sunday.

The previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government awarded the consultancy tenders for the master plan in 2023 and 2024. The plan was submitted to the government in 2025, after missing several deadlines.
