The Uppal Traffic police have rejected media reports claiming that a 30-year-old woman died after being stuck in an ambulance for over an hour due to congestion following an Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Sunday (April 5, 2026), asserting that the ambulance was cleared without obstruction and the claims are completely false.

Addressing the issue, Uppal Inspector Y. Ramalinga Reddy said CCTV footage was analysed to verify the sequence of events and found no evidence of prolonged traffic disruption affecting the ambulance’s movement.
