The Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad (ABAP), the legal wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), in a recently passed resolution, has expressed dismay over retired judges of Indian courts appearing as expert witnesses in foreign proceedings involving fugitives. The organisation also called for a new law to regulate post-retirement conduct. In a resolution passed on April 5, the body cited multiple instances where former judges testified in overseas courts in cases concerning high-profile economic offenders.
