The nominations of Bahujan Samaj Party candidates for Tiruvarur and Nannilam constituencies and Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi candidate for Mannargudi were among those rejected in Tiruvarur district after scrutiny by officials on Tuesday. In Tiruvarur, the nomination of the main candidate of BSP S. Arul was rejected as no proposer had signed the nomination paper at the time of filing and he had failed to submit Form A and Form B within the prescribed time. The nominations of the dummy candidates of the DMK, NTK and BJP were also rejected in the constituency.
