The Peelamedu police have registered a case against a private school teacher for assaulting a Class X student in March. As per the First Information Report (FIR), Pushpavalli, who teaches mathematics at a private school in Peelamedu, was booked for offences under Sections 118(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
