One-Time-Settlement scheme announced for property tax defaulters

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced the One Time Settlement Scheme for the year 2025-26 to boost up its tax revenue.

The OTS scheme entails an offer to the property tax defaulters whereby they can get a waiver on 90% of the accumulated interest on property tax arrears in lieu of total settlement.

In other words, the property owners can clear the long pending dues by paying the entire tax amount along with mere 10% of the accrued interest, in a single payment.

The offer is applicable only to the arrears and not the current year’s tax. Payment can be made through multiple channels, including the MyGHMC mobile application, Mee Seva Centres, GHMC Citizen Service Centres, and other online payment platforms.
