CA Final exams to now be held twice a year

The Chartered Accountants Final Examination would now be held twice a year, that is, in May and November instead of the erstwhile thrice a year, audit regulator Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) informed on Tuesday (April 7, 2026).

At present, the final examination for qualifying to become a Chartered Accountant are held thrice a year, that is, January, May and September.

The audit body watchdog informed the revised scheduling for holding the CA Final examinations would be put into effect starting this May itself. It emphasised that the decision followed feedback from stakeholders.
