A flurry of nominations were received for the nine Assembly constituencies in Tiruchi district on the last day of filing of nominations on Monday. Among those who filed their nominations in the district was former AIADMK Member of Parliament P. Kumar. He filed his nomination papers for the Tiruverumbur constituency. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam candidate Navapattu S. Viji too filed his papers for the constituency on Monday.
