Federation of Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Organizations (FAPTO) Chairman Paltheru Srinivasa Rao on Sunday asked the government to appoint 12thPay Revision Commission immediately and announce 30% interim relief to beat the inflation. FAPTO organised its meeting and asked teachers to wear black badges from Monday while attending for spot valuation of Class 10 examination papers. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rao said that the teachers would hold an agitation on April 9and insist for government’s attention on pending demands such as revival of old pension scheme, exemption for the teachers from non teaching duties, clearance of gratuity, Provident Fund and other bills of retired teachers. FAPTO Secretary General Ch. Bhaskara Rao, Finance Secretary D. Shyam and others were present.
