Churches across Hyderabad saw large congregations on Sunday as Christians marked Easter, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. From the early hours, prominent churches in the city witnessed a steady flow of worshippers, many dressed in new clothes, lending a festive air to the occasion. The gentle bustle outside church premises, marked by the sound of prayers, reflected the solemnity and significance of what is regarded as the holiest day in the Christian calendar. The celebrations followed the conclusion of Lent, the 40-day period of fasting and reflection that precedes Easter and culminates in Good Friday, which marks the crucifixion of Christ. For millions of believers, Easter Sunday carries profound spiritual significance, a symbol of hope, renewal and the promise of new beginnings.
